The Angles need to re-sign first baseman Mark Teixeria a left fielder and Starter and maybe even a closer too. Here is a good trade for LA
Los Angeles gets:
Starting Pitcher Aaron Harang
Cincinnati gets:
Infielder Brandon Wood and Outfielder Terry Evans
Los Angeles will be filling a void and the Reds get good prospects. They might want to try Wood in the outfield too, Wood is a great offensiveplayer and if they move him he doesn’t seem like a bad try in the outfield since he is so versatile. So it seems like an okay trade, other than the fact the Reds need pitching and Harang might not bounce back. It is a risk trade for both teams. But it makes sense.

According to ESPN the Tigers will not pick up Edgar’s option for 2009. Edgar will probably have an easy job finding a home, with shortstops scarce. The Tigers best two options are Mark Ellis and Jack Willson. I believe they could move Ellis to short. Now here is a Tigers off-season need list.
- 3 Relief Pitchers
- 1 or 2 Starters
- a Catcher
- a Shortstop
The Tigers might pick-up a couple of minor leaguers as well. Edgar had a really dissapionting season. The NL fits him a whole better it seems. Edgar should look in the NL too. It will help him. The tigers wanted more out of Edgar and he is better than this too.

Here Is the hunt for October
Clinched: AL Tampa Bay/, Boston/, Angles+ NL Chicago+
In if season ended today: AL White Sox NL Phillies, Dodgers
Playoff: Brewers at Mets
Close Twins
Bad Shape: D’backs, Astros
Key + Divsion title / Playoff berth
I think the Twins can make it especially if they can beat the White Sox tonight. They have great pitching considering the dumping of Johan Santana. Joe Mauer is the second best hitting catcher ever (behind Pudge Rodriguez). So, there you have it. The Twins can make the playoffs and make it deep.
